2/23/2019 - Live/Live-to-Tape Script Supervising Workshop
Love shows like America's Got Talent, America Ninja Warrior, or World of Dance? Maybe talk shows like The Late, Late show with James Corden or Tosh.0 are more to your liking. Or - just maybe - your dream is to one day work on award shows like the Emmys or the Oscars. These and other alternative television shows are what's known as live or live-to-tape/drive and script supervising a project like this is a different beast.
During the workshop, participants will learn:
-> Understanding the various roles on set and the control room
-> How to prepare and distribute scripts and rundowns
-> Learn what a music breakdown looks like and why it's important
-> Creating the editorial log
...and find out why there's over 12 cameras and the director keep saying "Ready one, take one!" At the end of the class, participants will have the opportunity to apply what they've learned on a practice set.
Date of workshop is Feb 23rd from 10am to 5pm.
Small snacks, treats, and water will be provided.
THIS SESSION IS HELD AT:
PASADENA MEDIA LOCATED AT 150 S. LOS ROBLES AVE SUITE 101.
SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS AND PARKING INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE SENT 24-48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP.
Because this class is held in conjunction with Pasadena Media, all proceeds are going to Pasadena Media to support their free and low cost studio trainings and to continue offering opportunities to the Los Angeles Community to learn and create television.
