Script Supervising: Live or Live-to-Tape
Love shows like America's Got Talent, America Ninja Warrior, or World of Dance? Maybe talk shows like The Late, Late show with James Corden or Tosh.0 are more to your liking. Or - just maybe - your dream is to one day work on award shows like the Emmys or the Oscars. These and other alternative television shows are what's known as live or live-to-tape/drive and script supervising a project like this is a different beast. In this seminar, we'll take a peak at the role of a script supervisor in the world of alternative television. Topics include:
-> Understanding the various roles on set and the control room -> How to prepare and distribute scripts and rundowns -> Learn what a music breakdown looks like and why it's important -> Creating the editorial log ...and find out why there's over 12 cameras and the director keep saying "Ready one, take one!" The session also includes a mock set to apply everything discussed. Because this class is held at Pasadena Media, it is a $55.00 cost to attend. 100% of the proceeds are going to Pasadena Media to support their free and low cost studio trainings and to continue offering opportunities to the Los Angeles Community to learn and create television. |
