Script Supervisors and the Crew: How Best to Collaborate

Script Supervisors are the secret ninjas to any production and make a world of difference to the post-production process. But not everyone understands the vast responsibilities of the role and how to tell if they have a good script supervisor. This class will help everyone involved in production understand and collaborate with a script supervisor on set

Although this class is perfect for producers, directors, and editorial departments, anyone who works on set and would like to understand what a Script Supervisor can do to supplement and/or support their department will benefit from this class.
The Next Course is on:
October 27th, 2018
11am to 2pm

We're the trusted person of the Director and Cinematographer!

As a script supervisor, we need to know the script better than anyone on set to be able to answer any questions that may come up. Therefore, we're the director's trusted ally ensuring their creative vision comes to life. We assist cinematographers to confirm the shots completed will create a visually complete story before the footage goes to post production.

How We Help Actors, Art Dept, & Glam Squad with Continuity!

From confirming actors lines to the wardrobe and hair and makeup, script supervisors provide detailed information regarding these small yet crucial details.

Script supervisors support art departments and props when it comes to resetting props between takes and verify whether the set has everything it should according to the script.

We set up the post production team for success!

After all is said and done on set, our notes are what remain for the post production to create the film. Similar to the role of an EMT, script supervisor's reports give the post production team an insider view to what footage they should or shouldn't use and gives them a record in the event of missing footage. Understand how to better read our reports to speed up the process.
